The Blue Heron Inn - a Bed & Breakfast is a delightful Charleston
Colonial on the harbor in Solomons Island, MD. For your pleasure, the Inn offers
two lovely balcony suites and two dormer rooms, all with magnificent water
views. Each is tastefully decorated with a private bath, and are designed to
encourage you to relax and linger.
The suites have king size beds and share a private balcony. Suite 1 has a
large steam room/shower while Suite 2 has a large, inviting sitting room. Rooms
3 and 4 have queen size beds and large window seats. All suites and rooms have
access to the balcony off the great room where a large screen TV and stereo
await your enjoyment. Other amenities include wireless
internet, cable with
movie channels, and small refrigerators.
From your accommodations on the waters edge, you can observe working
boats and yachts of all sizes, entering and leaving this natural
deep water harbor. Your view includes the mouth of the Patuxent River as
it blends into the magnificent Chesapeake Bay. You can also enjoy sunrise
views over Back Creek, Mill Creek, The Narrows, The Swash, and the lovely
harbor of Solomons.
Breakfast at the Blue Heron will be a delightful experience with or without conversation from the innkeepers. Weather permitting you may wish to enjoy breakfast on the balcony. Perhaps you will be lucky enough to spot our local blue heron while observing all the activity in the harbor.
If you arrive by boat, there will be a dock waiting for you. Slips
up to 40 feet are available with water and electricity.
The Inn also offers a completely furnished garage apartment
with its own kitchen, full bath, private entrance, and parking space. All utilities
with the exception of phone charges are covered. This unit is suitable for
weekly, monthly or annual lodging. Please contact us for availability.
